Winter Paralympic update 5

There were no U.S. medals earned on day 6 of the Paralympic Games, but Gerald Hayden placed eighth and Mark Bathum placed fourth in men’s slalom, sitting and visually impaired events respectively.

Yesterday the U.S. ice sledge hockey team beat Canada in the semifinal match and will be playing for the gold against Russia on Saturday.


Sochi Paralympics
Over the weekend the Paralympic Games will be coming to their end on NBC Sports Network. Tonight in alpine skiing, watch out for the new men’s and women’s snowboard cross and the conclusion of the men’s and women’s super combined, along with men’s 15 km and women’s 12.5 km biathlon. The alpine skiing events of men’s and women’s giant slalom and cross country skiing events of men’s 10 km free, women’s 5 km free cross country skiing, and 4x2.5 km mixed and open relays events will be airing Saturday and Sunday.
