Was it a fairytale kind of night?

Prom, according to the attendees, was a huge success.  All the attendees favored different parts of the prom, including the decorations, that “fit the theme” according to senior Nathalie Macaleer. You walked in and you felt like you were really in wonderland. Of course there had to be a prom king and queen, senior Austin Kirley, the 2014 prom king, described his crowning as “regal” and the night as “blissful”.  Check out Kirley’s Twitter campaign, run by friends of his, @Kirley4King (the Twitter name recently changed to Kirely is King, in honor of his win, of course).

What were the attendees’ favorite parts of prom night?  Senior Amber Johnson and junior Denise Johnsen said the delicious food was their favorite part, especially the candy bar.  Junior Kristen Williams enjoyed the prom, glad she was “able to have an innocent night out.”
Overall, the prom attendees’ rating of the prom was high, except for a couple of factors: some attendees didn’t enjoy the music, replying that it was their “least favorite part” and the dance floor was not as cooperative as the students hoped, as the floor was breaking more and more as the night went on.  Senior Sarah Crowley says the dance floor “did feel confined, but that’s good for prom.”
Prom isn’t a students-only event.  Matt Wight also enjoyed prom night, the amount of people at prom was the most he had ever seen.  “So many people, so many students stayed…in eight years [this has been] the longest people have stayed.”  Wight ends with the “bar [has been] raised to a new high...attribute it to Ms. Hoskins.” Erica Hoskins, the prom committee adviser, described prom night as a “fun ongoing party...[the students were] well behaved, everything turned out as the prom committee planned.”  When asked if the prom committee has already started planning Hoskins replied that the prom committee is going to “keep it super secret.”  The only hint Hoskins gave was they already have “three themes tight in the race.”
Some students even took the time to send us some photos of their night. Check to see if you are in any of the photos taken by Lifetouch here: http://www.lifetouchevents.com/ecom/g.pl. The password is "APEXPROM14".
