trends change from generation to generation. A popular trend, girls claim
wearing leggings is easy and comfortable. “You can either dress it up or dress
it down,” says freshman Kaitlin Lopez. Students at Apex High School were asked
whether they wore leggings or not, and if so, how often per week. Some schools
have debated over the dress code limits and enforcement on ladies wearing
leggings as pants. Haven Middle School in Evanston, Illinois, banned them as
proper dress for school. Other schools have set restrictions on how to wear the
leggings. For example, young ladies must cover up their behinds with a dress,
long sweater or long cardigan. Below are the results of a poll on students at
Apex High:
