Spice up your love life

Dating is a necessary life experience.  Once you’ve identified your “dating target”, choosing the perfect spot can be difficult.  The best thing to do is find a common interest that involves high activity, and a place to just sit and talk.
When doing high energy level activities, your body releases dopamine.  Dopamine is a hormone that plays an important role in the human body and brain.  It triggers feelings of happiness and fondness, almost that of a high.  That’s why, when choosing a date spot, it’s important to include something active, as well as a nice quiet place to get to know someone better.
I know what you’re thinking, where can I take my significant other, the love of my life, and perhaps even my soul mate for a great time that is not too costly?
Well, here are some options:
Kids Town Trail
§    Morning hike at Bond Park to get to know one another followed by a cute and intimate breakfast at Coffee & Crepes at Crossroads or Salvio’s Italian Restaurant off of Cary Parkway.  This date shouldn’t cost more than $20.00 for two.
§   Not big hikers? Then try volunteering together at the Haven House in Raleigh or the Salvation Army. This way you get to spend time with one another for free while helping out your community.
§ Summer is coming which means it’s going to start to get hotter and hotter as the season goes on. A great way to keep active even in the blazing heat is to spend the day at the pool or the beach. Most neighborhood swimming pools have free access to residents and will be opening soon.
§  If your date is a sports fan, think about taking your date to a local sports game, such as the Durham Bulls.
§ Of course you have the generic movie date which is okay, but if you want to add something a little special to it, find a Drive-in Movie Theater. It’s more intimate and may allow you to get to know each other better. The Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre is a great place to watch movies under the stars.  The theatre is about an hour away and the tickets are $7.00 per person.  The address is 3336 Raleigh Road, Henderson, N.C.
