Spring break activities

With spring rapidly approaching, some people are left scrambling to make last minute plans for spring break. Whether you want to travel or stay local, there are many activities for you.

A relaxing day at the beach over spring break
allows you to unwind and refresh.
For those who enjoy travelling, there are all kinds of places to go and things to see. For some seniors, this could be one of the last chances to take a family trip before leaving for college. For others, spring break offers a chance to visit colleges before making the final decision on where to go. For juniors, this maybe the perfect opportunity to start touring colleges to get an idea of where to apply next year. Other travel options include spending a week at the beach. Some popular beaches include Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, and Emerald Isle on the coast of North Carolina. There is also the ever popular option of spending spring break on a cruise for those who would like to get away from it all for the week. Consider taking a road trip out to the beach or the mountains with friends, or spend the day at Jordan Lake.

If you’re someone who wants to stay local, there are still plenty of options for you. You can spend a day at any of the local museums, like the North Carolina Museum of Art; spend the day relaxing by the pool before the long stretch between spring break and the end of the school year. Also, to celebrate the arrival of spring, have some friends over for a neighborhood BBQ. If you do choose to stay local, other options include getting around to those DIY’s you have been saving on Pinterest, or having a movie marathon with friends, treating yourself to a spa day or finding a live music venue to go to.

No matter what you want to do and how much you want to spend, there are endless activities to do over spring break.
