Oz the Great and Powerful (PG): Starring James Franco, Michelle Williams, and Mila Kunis
Follow the yellow brick road once again to the land of Oz like you’ve never seen before. In this prequel to the beloved story, a mediocre magician (Franco) leaves Kansas to try to become one of the greatest magicians alive. An unexpected twister transports him to the strange land of Oz. Here he meets many witches, munchkins, flying monkeys, and other creatures who need a wizard to rule the land. Can he be the great man they are expecting him to be?
The Call (R): Starring Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, and Morris Chestnut
Jordan Turner (Berry), a 911 operator, blames herself for the death of a teenage girl who had called for help. When Casey (Breslin) calls 911 claiming she’s been kidnapped, Turner thinks the two calls are related. Determined not to let another girl die, Turner does everything in her power to save Casey.
Olympus Has Fallen (R): Starring Gerard Butler, Angela Bassett, Morgan Freeman, and Aaron Eckhart
After a car accident, the president’s (Eckhart) wife dies. Mike Banning (Butler) is to blame for her death. Subsequently, he was disgraced from his position as part of the Secret Service. When the White House is attacked by terrorists and the president is taken hostage, Banning is the only person who has the ability and opportunity to free the president. Those who know Banning’s history, fear that they can’t trust him with a task as important as this one.
The Croods (PG): Starring Nicholas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, and Emma Stone
During the stone age, the Croods, a barbarian family, lived by one rule: never leave the cave. Eep Crood (Stone) has been curious to see what’s beyond the cave that her family lives in. When the only life they know crumbles to pieces, the Croods journey into an unknown territory. Along the way, they meet Guy (Reynolds) who claims that the world is ending. Acting as their guide, can Guy lead them to safety?
