Google launches innovative product

If you have been on YouTube lately you’ve probably seen a video about Google Glass. Google Glass is Google’s latest project which the company claims will revolutionize the way we interact with mobile devices. The product is a pair of glasses without lenses, but rather features a small screen in the upper right corner, where the right lens should be. The lens in Google Glass will not be made out of glass, but a type of transparent metal that can function as a small phone screen.

Google Glass will allow the user to call and text people, take videos, send e-mails, look at maps and do almost anything a modern smart phone is capable of. According to Technobuffalo.com, a tech review site, “Google plans to launch its Google Glass augmented reality glasses later this year for less than $1,500,” which is nearly triple the cost of the most high end smart phones. There will be at least three different styles; the first looks closest to normal glasses, the second style is similar to sunglasses, and the third is a fashionable, thick rimmed pair.

Google Glass is expected to launch around December 2013 and will be sold on Google’s website, Amazon, and eBay.
