We are all familiar with the most famous reindeer of all, Rudolph, but what most people do not realize is that Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is 50 years old. Not only is Rudolph the subject of one of the most popular and classic Christmas carols, but he is also the main character in a television special that has been around since 1964. The incredibly famous TV special first aired December 6 of that year and is the longest running holiday special. The special has been running every year since it premiered unlike other Christmas specials like A Charlie Brown Christmas or Frosty the Snowman.

Tune in to CBS this Tuesday, December 9 or Saturday, December 13 at 8p.m. to see this classic Christmas special that is beloved by children and adults alike year after year.
