Promposals: The Right Way to Ask

May is coming up quickly and that can only mean one thing: Prom Fever. Everyone is talking about it. What to wear, how to do your hair, who you are going with, and most importantly, how you are going to ask or be asked.

There are tons of cool and creative ways to ask someone to prom. Here are a few:

Balloons:
Using Christmas lights is another way
to ask your potential date to prom.

If you’re planning on asking that special someone in a memorable but affordable way, just buy a pack of balloons and fill up his or her room or car with “PROM” written on the balloons.

Pizza:

Another inexpensive but sweet way to ask someone is to buy a pizza and write a pun on the lid such as, “I know this is cheesy, but will you go to prom with me?”

Cups:

For a more subtle approach, get a drink from a place like Starbucks, which will write a name on the cup. Then have it called out or deliver it personally.

Food:

Spelling out “PROM” with foods such as cupcakes or icing on a cake can be an adorable way to ask your significant other to prom. It can be in front of all your friends or in a quiet setting.

Gifts:

It’s not hard to turn any gift into a cute way to ask someone to prom. All it takes is a little creativity to leave an impression. You can get a picture frame complete with a picture of the two of you or a stuffed version of his or her favorite animal, Prom?

Signs:

Hold up a sign with a bouquet of flowers or some balloons in a favorite color. Pick a cute meeting place and surprise! This will get the message across in a simple but sweet way.
