artist: Overall, da Vinci because he’s
“the original” artist. “He’s fascinating,” Goktan says. His favorite musician
is Mr. Rowe, who also plays trumpet.
Inspiration:
His sister. Goktan describes how she is “really driven and really hardworking.”
She also got into a good college. “It all paid off,” he says.

National Honor Society, Tri-M, Model United Nations, Marching Band
Hobbies:
Goktan likes to read, listing Harry Potter and The Hunger Games as his favorite
Young Adult novels. He also likes to run.

“Pizza, but microwavable popcorn is a close second.”

English I with Mr. Perkins
Hopes for the
future: Goktan hopes to become an architect or
a civil engineer. He states he will probably go to N.C. State but is looking into
private schools like Duke.
