Mother's Day gift ideas

Mothers Day is right around the corner and one of the most special days of the year.  Sure, you should appreciate your mom everyday of the year, but Mothers Day is when you should make sure everything is perfect.

If you’re on a budget, you might want to cook your mom’s favorite meal instead of going out.  Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, she’ll appreciate this gift considering she likely prepares all three meals 90 percent of the time.  Gift cards are a go-to because we know that a mom can always find something she likes at DSW, Target, Amazon, Starbucks or Bed Bath and Beyond.  It may be cliché, but women love the sight of flowers and a meaningful card.  Cut flowers or garden plants are a safe bet.
For those who can afford to be generous, is your mom still using a flip phone without texting?  If so, hook her up with an iPhone.  Maybe not a 5, but something that gets your mom a little more up to speed with modern day technology.  A 16g iPhone 4S costs at most $99.99.  If your mom likes to read, she might be interested in an Amazon Kindle or a Barnes and Noble Nook.  Although restaurants are usually packed on Mother’s Day, taking her out and paying for the meal would mean a lot.  Some moms may want a more relaxing gift such as a spa treatment or a massage. Depending on the choice you make, the price range could vary.

Don’t forget about your grandma!
