Graduation gift ideas

Within the next few months seniors will be taking some big steps in life. With graduation in three weeks and move in day just months later, seniors will be saying goodbyes to friends and family. Most seniors will be attending different schools than their friends and some will be making goodbye gifts for each other. So what do you get a friend who you have seen almost every day for four years?

Photo Album/Collage

A way to ensure that friends will remember the memories you shared throughout your friendship, try creating a photo album. Compile a bunch of photos of the two of you and put them in an album for your friend to take to college. To make this gift more special, use pictures that have been taken over the years; don’t limit the album to just the recent year. You could also leave part of the album blank for all the photos to come during breaks from school.  If you want to create something that she can hang in her room, gather photos and make a collage. To make this gift even more special, you can include not only photos of you two, but of other people in your group of friends.

College Apparel

Something to get for both guys and girls would be college apparel these days, you can buy basically anything with a school emblem on it.  Some places to look for apparel would be online at www.collegefootballstore.com or in stores at Dicks Sporting Goods, or at the Alumni Hall located at Crabtree Valley Mall. If you are looking for a less costly option for purchasing college apparel, another place to look is TJ Maxx.

Dorm Accessories

If you want to get your friend something for his or her dorm, think about getting them something basic. Gifts such as a white board, a cork board, posters of any sort, or little room accessories are some of the basic items people might be looking for.

Gift Card

If you are at a loss, get a gift card. All college students will be thankful for gift cards. Gift cards of any sort would help students purchase items for their rooms. Cards to places like Target, IKEA, Kohl’s, or just an American Express gift card would be ideal.

While shopping for a friend, remember that no matter what you give your friend, he or she is going to appreciate the effort and the thought.
