Megan Keith
Previous Jobs: Keith taught in Harnett County last year, her first year as a teacher. She has now returned to Apex High where she was a student teacher for one semester under Vicki Winstead.

Why she chose her subject: “I love to cook, and I believe it is an important life skill to have. So I want to help students become better prepared for the future. Also, it is a super fun class to teach.”

Favorite food to teach students to cook: Two of Keith’s favorite food preparations to teach are biscuits as well as chocolate pie. She has had a few good memories while teaching how to make chocolate pies. One time, her students placed one cup of salt instead of one cup of sugar into the batter and their pie didn't come out so tasty. “It was really entertaining watching their faces as they bit into their pies.”
