A truck containing over $4 million worth of gold was robbed on highway I-95 this past Sunday.  Two guards, employed by the security guard and armored car service TransValue Inc., were transporting the gold from Miami to Massachusetts.   They told authorities that they had to pull their vehicle over near Wilson County due to mechanical problems when three armed men held them at gunpoint and stole three barrels of gold.   The robbers reportedly forced the guards onto the ground and tied their hands behind their backs before ordering them into the surrounding woods.

While no arrests have been made, authorities are currently investigating the crime and TransValue Inc. is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.  The Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently deciding whether or not the robbery classifies as a federal crime.
