Stop a bully; make a video

Emily Nguyen

Staff Writer

October is National Bullying Prevention Month; show your support by entering Apex’s student video contest. Bullying has become a school-wide issue for all ages, and videos should intend to raise awareness on bullying. This year’s theme is “Be More Than a Bystander.” Clubs, teams, friends, and individuals are all invited to enter the contest. Be creative, and try to reflect the contest theme. Your video can be up to ninety seconds long and should start with an introduction for your group and a brief statement about your video (excluded from the ninety seconds). Submit your video on a flash drive to Student Services by Monday, October 21, along with the name of your video and the names and student numbers of your production group in writing.

The best three videos will be shown in homeroom, and the members of the winning teams will receive gift cards to local restaurants. Bullying is a problem for many students. Do what you can to “be more than a bystander.”
