Attractions of the State Fair

Concerts
Thursday, October 17: Alternative rock band Sister Hazel will perform on the Fair’s opening day.  Cost $5.
Friday, October 18: Christian rock band Building 429 will perform with Christian singer-songwriter Francesca Battistelli.  Cost $10.  
Saturday, October 19: “Sunny and 75” singer Joe Nichols will perform the first Saturday of the Fair.  Cost $10.  
Sunday, October 20: Country duo Florida Georgia Line’s concert is now sold out of tickets.
Monday, October 21 and Tuesday October 22: North Carolina native Scotty McCreery will be performing two nights at the 2013 N.C. State Fair.  Cost $25.  
Wednesday, October 23: Bluegrass music group Dailey and Vincent.  Cost $5.  
Thursday, October 24: Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute band will perform on the last Thursday of the Fair.  Cost $5.  
Friday, October 25: Christian rock band MercyMe.  Cost $15.  
Saturday, October 26: “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” singer Randy Houser will perform the last Saturday of the Fair.  Cost $10.  
Sunday, October 27: The Eli Young Band will end the 2013 N.C. State Fair’s concerts.  Cost $15. 
*Fair Admission is NOT included in the ticket price, you must buy a Fair ticket in order to enter Dorton Arena.  Dorton Arena’s doors will open at 6:30 p.m.; all concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m.  
Rides
Out of the 100 rides available at the State Fair, the 2013 N.C. State Fair will feature two new rides:  Gold Rush Express and Rampage.  The description of the new rides have not been released to the public.  The State Fair rides are divided among three categories: Spectacular (thrill-seeking), Adult, and Kiddie rides. 
Fireworks
The tradition of the N.C. State Fair fireworks will be displayed at 9:45 p.m. every night of the Fair’s operation.
