Read on for a list of exciting musical acts visiting the Raleigh area during the months of March and April.


March 8: We the Kings at Lincoln Theatre (Raleigh, NC)

Power-pop group We the Kings will play along with alternative rock band Mayday Parade at Lincoln Theatre on March 8. Tickets are $15.
March 16: Elton John at RBC Center (Raleigh, NC)
Elton John returns to the RBC Center after 9 years, playing number one chart hits and classic tracks from his career spanning 5 decades. Tickets start at $27.
March 17: Bowerbirds at Cat’s Cradle (Carrboro, NC)
Raleigh folk-rockers Bowerbirds kick off their tour at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro on March 17. They will tour to support their album The Clearing, recorded in a North Carolina mountain cabin, which is set to be released March 6. Tickets are $12.
March 21: Neon Indian at Cat’s Cradle (Carrboro, NC)
Warm, 80s inspired synth-pop artist Alan Palomo, who goes by the stage name Neon Indian, will be performing at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro on March 21. Tickets are $12.
April 4: Red Hot Chili Peppers at RBC Center (Raleigh, NC)
Classic 90s alternative rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing at the RBC Center on April 4 after delaying the previously announced January 27 date due to lead singer Anthony Kiedis’ foot surgery. Tickets start at $35.50.
April 4: Of Montreal at Cat’s Cradle (Carrboro, NC)
On April 4, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers are rocking the RBC Center, self-proclaimed “art-pop” group Of Montreal will be putting on a different kind of spectacle. The band, known for its extravagant shows that include ninjas, people in pig costumes and dancing Buddhas, will be filling Cat’s Cradle with their special sound; something in between Marvin Gaye and the Beach Boys. Tickets are $17.
April 15: The Wonder Years’ Glamour Kills Tour at the Soapbox Laundrolounge (Wilmington, NC)
Pop punk band The Wonder Years will headline with Transit, Polar Bear Club and The Story So Far as support. Tickets are $15.
April 21: Van Halen with Kool & the Gang at Greensboro Coliseum (Greensboro, NC)
Californian hard rock band Van Halen will be tearing up Greensboro Coliseum on April 21, and will, oddly enough, be supported by R&B, soul and funk group Kool & the Gang. Tickets start at $29.50.
April 21: Say Anything at Cat’s Cradle (Carrboro, NC)
Alternative rock band Say Anything will be performing at Cat’s Cradle on April 21. Tickets are $17.
April 24: La Dispute with Balance and Composure at Southland Ballroom (Raleigh, NC)
Label-mates and punk pioneers La Dispute and Balance and Composure will be performing on April 24 at Southland Ballroom in Raleigh. Tickets are $12.
