Motivation to become a teacher: Elementary school art teacher inspired her because she learned how   to appreciate art in life.

          Graphic designer for a newspaper
          Technician for a theater, where she met Bill Cosby and Ludacris

Hobbies: Going to concerts with friends and she has a pet bunny named Thumper

Kelly Caudill

From: Outside of Washington D.C. in northern Virginia
           Moved to Raleigh to live closer to her family

Married: Married for thirteen years
    Has two children: Allison, 4, and Aiden, 7

College: James Madison University-major in Office Systems Management with a minor in Business Education

Motivation to become a teacher: “I don’t know; I think I always wanted to become a teacher. I remember playing school with my friends. I don’t know what it’s like to work during summer.”

Some previous jobs: Taught at Osbourn High School, Antioch High School, Cohn Adult High School, and Leesville Road High School

Hobbies: Enjoys watching sports, playing soccer, knitting, cooking, and canning

Forrest Moog

Subject(s): Lifetime Sports, Health and P.E., and Weight Training I

From: Lived in Cary and graduated from Apex High School

College: NC State-B.S. in sports management
               ECU-M.S. in education

Motivation to become a teacher: Likes playing sports (football/basketball/lacrosse/soccer in high school) and wanted to coach

Some previous jobs: Yellowstone National Park recreation
          Cary’s Parks and Recreation Department

Hobbies: Photography and traveling

Maureen Kurz

Subject(s): Guidance counselor for last names K-N

From: Pittsburgh, finished grad school in North Carolina last year

Married: Has been married for three years

College: Notre Dame-major in management consulting
               UNC Chapel Hill- Master’s Degree in Education Counseling

Motivation to become a counselor: “I like to watch [students] grow,” she says, “and I wanted to help them become the people they wanted to become.”

Some previous jobs: Taught Spanish in Austin, Texas
          Health care consultant in Washington, D.C.

Hobbies: Attends dance classes (contemporary and jazz), runs for exercise, and enjoys spending time with her family and her sister’s family who lives nearby.
