Apex High DECA seniors Dipali
Aphale and Karen Cheng will be hosting a charity ball on January 26, 2013, at
the American Institute of Architects of North Carolina in downtown Raleigh (14
East Peace Street) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The charity ball, named Beyond the
Ribbon Ball, will feature a silent auction, live music, guest speakers, and a
catered dinner. Tickets are $50 for individuals or $75 for couples, and can be
purchased in advance for $10 off by e-mailing beyondtheribbonball@gmail.com or calling
Aphale at (919) 449-8921 or Cheng at (919) 455-0232. All proceeds will go to
the Pretty In Pink Foundation, which gives financial aid to uninsured and
underinsured breast cancer patients in North Carolina, as those who can’t
afford their bills often don’t receive proper treatment.
Different levels of sponsorships
are being offered as well. The four levels are: platinum - $600 donation, gold
- $450 donation, silver - $300 donation, and bronze - $150 donation. Sponsors’
logos will be placed on future brochures and programs. Those wishing to donate may
make checks out to the Apex Sunrise Rotary and mail them to 115 Joseph Pond
