The Three Stooges

Some films are worth going to see in theaters, even if it runs the risk of being a train wreck. The modern theatrical interpretation of The Three Stooges, produced, written, and directed by the Farrelly brothers, is one of those films. In their latest misadventure, Moe, Larry, and Curly are cast into a reality television show after trying to save their childhood orphanage. The film has had a bumpy road to completion with multiple cast overhauls, so the final product will be worth seeing in theaters even for the unintentional humor.
Starring:  Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes and Will Sasso.

Battleship

Based on the Milton Bradley board game, of all things, Battleship looks to be a typical sci-fi popcorn flick. A naval fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor dukes it out with an aggressive alien race, with the narrative offering both human and alien perspectives in the battle. The film’s cast is a hard sell, with Liam Neeson serving as the biggest name actor on the billing, despite a relatively smaller role.

Starring: Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Rihanna, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker
