In this four book series, Luce is taken back through history and discovers a lot about herself and Daniel on the way. Ultimately, Luce is left to make a decision that will affect not only her and Daniel but the friends she makes along the way. Does she make the right choice and get a “happily ever after” or does she makes the wrong choice which could result in dire consequences? This series is comprised of the following: Fallen, Torment, Passion and Rapture.

The Body Finder series by Kimberly Derting: Violet, the seres’ main character, has a special gift. She can sense people who have been murdered and haven’t been properly laid to rest. This ‘gift’ gets Violet into some pretty sticky situations, and the series takes you through all of them. When her uncle, who is a cop, has trouble solving cases, he brings Violet in to get a feel for things. This leads to Violet getting caught up in a set of circumstances. The series consists of three books with a fourth on the way. These titles are The Body Finder, Desires Of The Dead, The Last Echo, and Dead Silence which comes out this April.

Anything written by Sarah Dessen: All of Sarah Dessen’s books are light reads, good for a day spent at the beach or by the pool. Some of her novels include the following:

Along for the Ride – Summer is the time for change; at least, that’s how Auden feels about her last summer before college. Her whole life has been about academics and therefore feels like she has missed out on important childhood experiences, such as riding a bike. When her mom catches wind of what she has been up to while spending the summer at her dad’s, she plans a surprise visit to turn her daughter around. This book takes you through one girl’s quest to balance her rigorous academics and her newfound social life.

Dreamland – Caitlin, who is just sixteen, has had a pretty good life until her sister runs away. Her whole world has since changed. After deciding that she needs to make a few changes of her own, she finds herself in an abusive relationship with a drug dealer and realizes she’s in over her head.

Someone Like You – When Halley’s boyfriend is killed in a motorcycle accident she turns to her best friend Scarlett for emotional support. Scarlett is left to help her friend deal with losing her boyfriend and finding out that Halley is pregnant. Their friendship is pushed to the limit.

Lock and Key – Used to taking care of herself and her mother, Ruby now finds herself living with her sister – who she hasn’t seen or talked to in ten years – and her husband. After settling in, Ruby finds herself enjoying her new life, but she soon learns that there is more than meets the eye with some of her new friends, especially her neighbor Nate, who might need her help but is unwilling to ask.

What Happened to Goodbye – After her parents’ nasty divorce, Mclean lives with her dad who moves from town to town trying to save restaurants. Having lived in four new towns in the past two years and becoming estranged from her mother and her mother’s new family, Mclean embraces each new place as a chance to reinvent herself. Going from cheerleader to drama club member, Mclean finds that in her newest town she doesn’t want to reinvent herself but rather be her true self and maybe even stay for a while.
