Holiday season shopping guide

Don't get stressed this Christmas.

It can be a challenge shopping for the opposite gender during the Christmas season, but this list may provide some useful tips necessary to make this holiday season all the merrier.

Accessories:

If you are looking for a present for a girlfriend, look first to accessories. There are a wide variety of accessories that girls like; purses, jewelry, scarves, and perfume are just a few. Purses are great because they are cute, fashionable, and you can never have too many.

Guys, if you aren’t looking to spend a lot of money on jewelry this year then you should probably break up with your girlfriend right this second. Give her time to find a guy who will buy her something good for Christmas, because if you do not take heed of my warning there is no way you’re not going to be single by New Year’s Eve. Jewelry is a good gift idea, bracelets, rings, and necklaces are perfect ways to let someone know that you care about them.

Scarves are a must to every girl’s closet and they can go with practically any winter outfit. Perfume can be a great Christmas present as long as you make sure it smells good, the samples are there for a reason.

Gift Cards/Money:

Undecided on what to buy for your friends? Throw some cash at them! Money and gift cards are the go-to present for people whose interests aren’t obvious. If you really have no clue on what to get this person, an Amazon.com gift card might work.

Shopping for a dad or stepdad? All dads shop at Lowes Hardware, it was practically mandated by God Himself, so getting your dad a Lowes gift card won’t just get you on the nice list, but it might also make yard work a little easier.

Electronics:

Don’t waste the time and the money to go out and get a girl the latest technology. Laptops and cell phones are not recommended for Christmas presents to a girl, especially if she is your girlfriend. Instead, if you are looking towards the technology related presents, try something a little more basic, like a phone case. Phone cases not only protect your phone but they also are cute and add a little personal flair.

You know what boys love even more than cars and sports? Videogames! If you’re willing to spend $50 on a disc that will transport your friends/boyfriend to an alternate reality for an hour and a half, you would probably benefit from buying them a copy of GTA V or maybe even Far Cry 3. The game will have them fixated for hours, this is a good gift if you need some time away from somebody.

Is your father a fan of washed up 70s and 80s era guitar heroes? Get him a copy of Eric Clapton’s latest effort, Old Sock. The thing is packed with dated dad-jams. Your father will never question your music taste again.

Hopefully this guide will make shopping for friends and family during the holiday season a breeze. Drift on over to your local department store and give these tips a whirl.
